Our hand raised pies are made with traditional hot water crust pastry, raised by hand and crammed full with freshly made fillings. All the meat we use in our pies comes from local farms cut fresh to our order. After cooking and during chilling, the pies are hand finished with aspic jelly. When cold they are boxed and kept overnight in our Cold Store until delivery or collection the following day.
Our pies are made in either 7” size (about 4lb/1.8Kg) providing 12 to 16 slices or 9½” (about 7lb/3.17Kg) providing 16 to 20 slices.
The pies using game are seasonal, made with meat obtained from the West Country. Our Game Pies are particularly popular during the Christmas period. We are always happy to receive suggestions for other flavours and fillings.
